This type of nuisance can be avoided by listing or registering there Phone number in the National Do Not Call Registry in short it is called as NDNC which is being supervised by the respective Governments. In Countries like India, these came into effective from September 5 ,2007 as promised to the supreme court by the government. The government passed the rule that each and every telemarketing company should enroll themselves with the NDNC and they should not call the phone numbers which are registered with NDNC. Even though after registering for NDNC, if they call the people who are enrolled in the NDNC, that particular company will be fined with an amount of rupees five hundred even though it is a call or a message. Government made mandatory for all the marketing companies to register before August 31, 2007. The Department of Telecom has authorized the National Informatics Center basing on there directives they formed a National do not call registry and for this they approached German fixed and mobile solutions provider through which as it is a centralized server based solution which searches the enrolled list of the NDNC and automatically blocks the telemarketing call to a registered number. Telemarketing companies also should verify there calling list and should avoid calling the registered users. But you can also allow certain companies who have an established business relationship with you or your business and giving permission for such companies of which you are interested to get the calls from them.

Secondly, a trap can be laid on your telephone line with the help of the telephone company you are using and can know the people who are making unwanted calls and trace them. How to perform Reverse Telephone search

Telecommunication has been developed a lot both in developed countries as well as developing countries. Now a day’s telecommunication plays an important role in communication between people in day to day life all over the world. Even though after such a development has taken place and improving a lot, many people are aware of phone look ups, that is many of them don’t know how to identify the people who make blank calls to the landlines, or how to contact the persons whom they lost contact of them but have a telephone number through which the particular person address can be known or the people who calls the landline but we are unable to know who’s the particular number belong to for such a type of circumstances and for the purpose of improving communication between these people there are many places which provide residential and business phone number lookups who provides a service called as ” reverse lookup” service through which we can find out the details.

Searching in reverse telephone directory

A reverse telephone directory which is also called as grey pages directory, criss cross directory or reverse phone lookup is generally a collection of details of telephone numbers and customers. When we use a telephone directory we try to retrieve the information about particular person or business through there contact name or address and we generally get the telephone number. But in the case of reverse telephone service we generally try to contact the person by providing the telephone number and we get the information about a particular person or business we are trying to contact.

Reverse telephone directories are both public accessible (listed ) and private (unlisted) services. Reverse telephone directories are used under law enforcement to determine the origin of any request for assistance. Publicly accessible reverse telephone directories are generally provided as a part of the standard directory services from the telecommunications carrier in some countries however in some countries these phone directories are created by phone phreakers through collecting information from public accessible directories and providing a search function which allows users to search by the telephone service details and can get the information .

Generally this happens in Landlines which are used for residential and business purposes in most of the countries. But now a days usage of cellular phone is increased and now the problem arises if we want to use the reverse phone lookup in cellular phones because there are no free directories and fax numbers as this information is held with carriers and telecommunication companies. But however there are some websites which we can claim for the cellular reverse phone number lookup by providing an amount of fee because these websites has to pull up the resources from various sources into one place to provide information to its users so they are charging some fees. There are also some websites which offer there users for one-off payment and can search as many as possible mobile numbers where as some websites offer single look up for a small amount of fees. It is to be noted that the database offered by each company may differ but most include cellular phones, residential, business, toll free, even pagers and they give assurance to the users they keep the information confidential.
